Christmas With Evie

It´s getting towards winter. In Stockholm we just had the first snow of the year. It’s freezing cold. Discovered this LP from 1974 with religious songbird Evie Tornqvist: "Jul med Evie" (“Christmas With Evie”). She had a peculiar American accent, I remember. No idea what she is doing these days, but she had a nice hat on, don’t you think?.

Apparently she's an American whose parents were from Norway. Funny because I've only run across her records in English and Swedish.

I think she actually moved to Sweden when she got married to Pelle Karlsson who was a wellknown Christian singer already at that time. Wonder if they still live in Sweden or not. The music is not that striking, it´s the cover I like. I have many other amazing covers from records Christian artists. Maybe I make another blog of those sometime.

Yes, mine too. She has been ever blest. Let's praise the Lord for her and her songs.
